Farmstead is a unique sustainable agriculture start-up based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They produce locally sourced hard cider, run agriculture & cooking classes for kids and adults, and experiment with sustainable high-altitude farming. We helped them brand and launch their company and continue to provide them with design and marketing services.
The Big
Challenge
Farmstead is on a mission to create a sustainable local food culture in Jackson Hole, Wyoming—a mountain town with long snowy winters and an extremely short growing season. They needed a brand that could embody their can-do optimism while also clearly conveying the handmade local nature of their products and services. The brand also needed to stand and appeal to the high-end Jackson Hole market.
Dynamic Brand System
We came up with a rectangular logomark featuring a farm scene, with small illustrative details changing based on the use-case (the Farmstead Cider logo incorporates a small apple tree0. The logomark is paired with typography that can also be adjusted depending on the vertical. Using this flexibility the brand can be applied to anything from a t-shirt to a truck. It’s sharp and refined, but with a rough western flair that matches Farmstead perfectly.

Online Bottle Shop
Since its launch in 2019 Farmstead has grown quickly, and now makes thousands of gallons of hard cider every year. They sell wholesale in stores around Jackson Hole and elsewhere in Wyoming, on draft in restaurants and bars, and online all over the United States via a custom Vinoshipper integration we designed and built for their website.

Advertising & Marketing Strategy
Farmstead is built from the ground up to be super-local start-up with deep roots in Wyoming. Our strategy for their digital advertising, social media, and email marketing revolves around the quality and history of their products and services, as well as their innovative approach. We focus on expanding awareness of the brand in the cider world online and supporting their local and national sales efforts with targeted campaigns and event activations.
